Susan M. Steich gives voice to the world of nature through her expressive paintings, employing a bold use of color and texture that pulls the viewer into her land- and seascapes. Working in either pastels or oils (sometimes even dabbling in watercolor), she creates a unique and meaningful experience that excites the eye.
 
Susan’s work is inspired by the natural world, her creative family, and her background as a teacher, student and thoughtful observer of her environment. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA she spent summers at the shore developing a deep love of the beach and ocean. Her interest in art began at an early age as she watched her grandfather, father, and mother hone their own creative skills.
 
A graduate of Hussian School of Art, Susan studied Graphic Design, Illustration, and Fine Art, and has worked as an award winning Graphic Designer and Art Instructor.In 2019, Susan moved to Cape May, NJ permanently, checking an item off her bucket list and providing inspiration for the work she does today.
